William “Bill” “Kunsey” Kunselman father, grandfather “Pa” and uncle

Olean- William “Bill” “Kunsey” Kunselman of Happy Hollow Rd, Olean, passed away unexpectedly on Monday (November 6, 2023) at Olean General Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Kittanning, PA on May 12, 1962, he was the son of the late Robert and Marie Goldinger Kunselman. On October 7, 1989, he married the former Jodi Hakes in St. Stephen’s Church in Olean, who survives.

Bill, graduated from Portville Central School in 1980 and went on to work for Clancy’s Excavating, J & R Auto and Dresser Rand in Wellsville.

Bill was a member of the WNY Gas & Steam Engine Association and the Portville Masonic Temple. He liked to work on the Griffin Farm and making maple syrup.

Surviving besides his wife Jodi are two children, Shelbi Kunselman-Work and Garrett (Vicki) Kunselman; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; his best friend, Gary Griffin; sister in-law, Margo Landries; and uncle, Don Goldinger.

Bill was predeceased by his parents; a brother and a sister.

Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street, Olean on Thursday (November 9, 2023) from 6-8 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
